Mojang FPS Project Killed

The game studio that brought you Minecraft, Mojang, has cancelled a project with another company due to unique reasons, as the project was in its prototype stage. The project was supposed to be a first person shooter where Mojang and another company collaborated with one another, but has ended.

The reasons for the cancellation can be best expressed by the man himself, Notch. Notch says that Mojang "did not want more external dependencies" and that "The success of Minecraft meant we could focus on projects fully owned by us."

Although, there will be collaborations in the future, but if the other company wants to "make money", then there won't be any collaboration between them at all, interesting.

Back Due To Technical Difficulties

Its been almost a month now since my last post, and I am sorry for not updating the site. Due to the technical difficulties of my internet connection, I wasn't able to connect until at least three AT & T technicians came over and finally resolved the problem by giving me a new modem.

Although, the good news is that I will continue to post starting tomorrow, so take care everybody!

Total War: Rome 2 Announced

Video game developer, The Creative Assembly, has announced their next game in the turned-base/real time strategy Total War series, Total War: Rome II. Rome II will be the eighth "standalone" game in the series and is a successor of the 2004 game, Rome: Total War. With the mass support for the next Total War to take place in Rome, the developers have listened and surprised everyone with their announcement by releasing a live action announcement trailer:

The proposed release date is sometime in Q3 of 2013, as the developers strictly promise to have a larger campaign map with possible expansion to the east. Visuals will be improved dramatically with their new graphics engine and a new camera system that will allow players to focus on one of the possibly many thousands of soldiers on the battlefield. PCGamer caught up with the lead designer for Rome II and had an interview with him were you can watch it here:
